ANGLE MOUNTED CLOSET RODS

What do you do when the walls are at an angle?

Mounting a closet rod in a room that has one or more diagonal walls isn't difficult but does take a little more planning and time to complete.

Follow these instructions to learn how it's done!

The first step in the process is to make the support that the mounting flanges will attach to. This support will be cut so that a flat surface, perpendicular to the floor, will be created. Begin with a block of wood. A piece of 2x4 cut to a square for instance.

Be sure to make the cut clean and smooth. If necessary sand the surface so it can be painted the same color as the wall. Finish by installing the flange to the finished block and putting the closet rod in place.
